Contracts insurance companies

Physiotherapy is reimbursed from the basic or supplementary insurance. Physical therapists are given the choice to sign annual contracts with healthcare insurance companies for the payment of physical therapy treatments.

You might have noticed that there is quite a bit of unrest about the rates for physiotherapy. Many physiotherapy practices have decided to no longer sign contracts with certain healthcare insurers. The reimbursements that healthcare insurers pay us are too low (25-30%!) and the requirements they set for physiotherapists are too high.

In recent years we still signed these contracts with health insurers, but this time they leave us no choice.. We decided not to sign the contract with healthcare insurer Zorg en Zekerheid for 2023.

What does this mean for you?

You can still receive treatment. We will send you an invoice for treatments. You pay this bill directly to Groepspraktijk Minerva. Afterwards you send our bill to Zorg en Zekerheid yourself. They will then pay you a percentage of the costs. Please check your policy for this.

If you’d like to know more about what this means for you personally, please contact your physiotherapist.
